Chinese wanted by Beijing for economic crimes nabbed

OPERATIVES of the Bureau of Immigration arrested last Tuesday a Chinese wanted by Beijing for economic crimes.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said Chen Xiao Bang, 29, was arrested along Vito Cruz Extension, Barangay La Paz, Makati City by operatives of the BI’s fugitive search unit (FSU).

Tansingco said Chen is also on the wanted list of the agency, having been ordered deported and blacklisted by the bureau last year for being an undesirable alien.

He said Chen will be sent to Beijing as soon as the required clearance for his deportation is secured by the bureau.
