Colder nights, mornings as 'amihan' likely to intensify

MANILA, Philippines: Colder nights and mornings would likely be experienced in the coming days as the northeast monsoon or «amihan» is expected to intensify, the state-run weather agency said on Friday.

At present, the weather system is affecting Batanes and Cagayan where overcast skies with light rains will prevail, weather specialist Benison Estareja of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
