Comelec resets bid submission for SETS

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) moved to Feb. 29 the deadline for the submission of bids for the P1.64-billion Secure Electronic Transmission Services (SETS), which will be used in the May 2025 midterm elections.

The Comelec Special Bids and Awards Committee opted to reset the deadline to give bidders more time to comply with the requirements.

The Comelec reset the submission of bids from Feb. 28 to Feb. 29.

Prospective bidders previously asked the poll body for an extension of the deadline to allow them to prepare their bid offers.

The Comelec opened the bidding for the SETS project in January.
