Complete lineup of fights for PMI’s “Kumong Bol-anon 15” card bared | The Freeman

CEBU, Philippines — The PMI Bohol Boxing Promotions headed by Atty. Floriezyl Echavez Podot has revealed the complete lineup of fights for the much anticipated “Kumong Bol-anon 15” show slated on April 30 at the Holy Name University (HNU) Gymnasium in Tagbilaran City.

The world-ranked Regie “The Filipino Phenom” Suganob (14-1, 4KOs) will headline the slam-bang extravaganza, putting his World Boxing Organization (WBO) Global light flyweight belt on the line against the 27-year-old Japanese challenger Kai Ishizawa (11-3, 10KOs).

This marks for the first time that a ring gladiator from Japan will be seeing action in the three-year history of the highly successful boxing series.

Suganob, ranked No.3 by the WBO, No.9 by the WBC, and No.6 by the IBF, will make the first defense of the regional throne he seized with a hard-earned unanimous decision victory over Venezuelan toughie Ronald Chacon on November 4 last year at the Bohol Wisdom School (BWS) gym.

It was a confidence-booster for the Dauis, Bohol-native Suganob after losing by 12-round unanimous verdict to IBF 108-pound champion Sivenathi Nontshinga in his first world title shot on July 2, 2023 at the International Convention Center in East London, South Africa.

In the supporting main event, “Sugar” Shane Gentallan (8-1, 5KOs) will slug it out with Indonesian Wandi Priman Hulu (2-1-1).

Gentallan is no stranger against Indon foe. In February 2023, the pride of Maribojoc scored a smashing second round stoppage of Hulu’s compatriot Faisol Akbar to claim the WBO Oriental Youth minimumweight strap at the Calape Cultural Center.

In a special attraction feature female pugs, Althea Shine Pores of Claveria, Misamis Oriental will lock horns with Renz Dacquel of Manila for the Philippine women’s light flyweight crown.

The rest of the bouts pit Sugarey Leonard Pores vs Bukidnon’s Roel Julian; Angilou Dalogdog of Bilar, Bohol vs Rolan Jay Biendima of Elorde Gym; Arlando Senoc Jr. of Cebu’s Big Yellow Stable vs Kier Torregosa of Buenavista, Bohol;and Leonard Pores vs Jaren Jase Guarin of Tacloban’s Haiyan Punch Boxing.

Tickets are pegged at P200 for general admission A, P500 for general admission B, and P1,000 for VIP/ringside
