Coo pumadyak ng silver sa Asian BMX championships | Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Inangkin ni national athlete Patrick Bren Coo ang silver medal sa men’s elite category ng 2024 Asian Cycling Confederation BMX Championships sa Kamol Sports Park sa Nong Chok, Thailand.

Sinabi ni Coo na resulta ito ng kanyang hirap sa pag-eensayo sa UCI World Cycling Center sa Aigle, Switzerland bilang isang Olympic Solidarity scholar.

“I’m so blessed and I’m happy that all my hard work are paying off,” sabi ng 22-anyos na Pinoy BMX rider.

Noong nakaraang taon ay pumadyak si Coo ng bronze medal sa19th Asian Games sa Hangzhou, China.

Bilang isang junior rider ay napanalunan niya ang gold medal sa 2019 Asian championships sa Malaysia.

“My congratulations to Patrick, he’s been working hard and his dedication and passion for BMX is getting stronger each day,” wika ni Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) at PhilCycling president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino.

Sumegunda si Coo Thailand BMX ace Komet Sukprasert na nakamit ang kanyang ikatlong sunod na Asian championships gold medal bago sumabak sa Paris Olympics.

Si Japanese Shimada Ryo ang kumuha sa bronze.
