Cops looking for owner of car used by missing beauty queen

Police are now tracking the owner of the vehicle used by Miss Grand Philippines 2023 candidate Catherine Camilon before she went incommunicado on Thursday, Oct. 12, in Batangas.

‘‘We’re still finding [looking for] the registered owner of the car used by Catherine since according to her family, the vehicle is not registered under her name. We also want to locate the owner so we would be able to know if the car has a GPS that we could use in tracking,” said Tuy municipality police chief Maj. Eugenio Napthali Solomon.

Camilon was reportedly driving a Nissan Juke car on the day she went missing.

The police chief said they also checked the CCTVs installed at the gasoline stations where Camilon last contacted her mother, but all the cameras installed were not working.

Camilon’s mom, Rosario, said she last talked to her daughter at around 8:33 p.m. Thursday during which the beauty queen said she was waiting for a companion at a gasoline station in Bauan, Batangas.

Solomon admitted they do not have a clear lead yet as to the disappearance of the 26-year-old Camilon.

“We’re looking for any possible angles so we could find Miss Camilon’s whereabouts,” he said.

Camilon represented Tuy, Batangas in Miss Grand Philippines 2023 in July.
