'Covid-19 still much around'
AN infectious disease expert warned the public to be vigilant, especially during the holiday season, as Covid-19 «is still much around» with the new subvariant, JN.1, already attacking neighboring countries and said that the possibility of it entering the country was not remote.
Dr. Rontgene Solante, the Philippine College of Physicians (PCP) president, said that JN.1 is said to have milder symptoms compared to the Delta variant but could, nonetheless, trigger a worse Covid-19 case, especially if vulnerable sectors like the elderly and children are attacked.
