CSC: 92% turnout for last Career Service exam in 2024

CIVIL Service Commission chairperson Karlo Nograles has declared the second and last Career Service Examination (CSE) for the year a success following a 91.82 percent turnout in both professional and subprofessional levels nationwide.

The tests were administered in 95 designated testing centers across 16 regions nationwide last August 11. Results are set to be released on October 16 through posting of the lists of passers on the CSC website.

“This year’s second and final CSE was conducted successfully, and this achievement is primarily attributable to the cooperation of our examinees. As always, the smooth execution of the exam would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of our volunteer teachers and government employees,” Nograles said.

A total of 296,596 individuals representing 91.81 percent of registered applicants took the CS professional level exam, while 32,722 individuals or 91.89 percent of registered applicants took the Subprofessional level.

The highest turnout of examinees was from the National Capital Region, with 43,476 takers. Regions IV and VI followed closely with 38,823 and 25,743 takers, respectively.

While Nograles monitored the process in Davao City, other CSC officials also visited testing centers where the CSE-Pen and Paper Test were being held.

CSC Commissioner Aileen Lourdes A. Lizada, together with Examination Recruitment and Placement Office (ERPO) Director III Cherry C. Berris, visited the San Jose, Dinagat Islands Testing Center, while Commissioner Ryan Alvin R. Acosta checked the administration of the exam in Cebu City.

The Quezon City Testing Center was visited by Assistant Commissioner Ariel G. Ronquillo, while CSC Assistant Commissioners Nerissa B. Canguilan and Karin Litz P. Zerna conducted rounds in Tuguegarao City and Bacolod City, respectively.

CSC Assistant Commissioner Judith A. Dongallo-Chicano checked the conduct of exams in Morong, Rizal, while ERPO Director IV Prisco S. Rivera Jr. visited the Dumaguete City Testing Center.
