«We are committed to contributing to the Department of Finance's goal of fostering national socio-economic growth by collecting additional revenue for our fellow Filipino people and guarding the country's borders,» he added.

Based on preliminary reports, Rubio said, the BoC collected P330.27 billion between January and May 13, 2024, exceeding its target of P317.87 billion by 3.90%, or P12.41 billion.

He said the figure represents a 7% increase from the same period last year when collection was at P308.65 billion.
