DAR IX Partner with NNC IX to Enhance Nutrition, Food Security

In its continuous effort to assist and empower Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs), the Department of Agrarian Reform IX (DAR IX), led by Regional Director Ramon Madroñal, Jr., signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the National Nutrition Council (NNC) Regional Office IX on July 18 at the DAR Regional Office, Zamboanga City. NNC was represented by their Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator (RNPC) Nimfa Ekong, along with Nutrition Officers II Rowence Zorilla and Maryrose Yu.

The MOA strengthens collaboration between the two agencies to support NNC's Tutok Kainan program, which aims to prevent childhood stunting, among other goals. DAR supports the program through the Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (PAHP) initiative. PAHP allows Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) and other qualified farmers' organizations to participate as partners or service providers in government feeding programs or related livelihood programs.
