DAR sets 2024 land distribution targets under Executive Order No. 75

The Department of Agrarian Reform's (DAR) Bureau of Land Acquisition and Distribution (BLAD) held a strategic planning activity in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte last April 24 to 26, to set the targets and orient stakeholders on the implementation of Executive Order No. 75, Series of 2019.

The Firming Up of 2024 Targets and Orientation of EO No. 75 focused on regions identified for accelerated land distribution. These include Region III, IV-B, V, VII, IX, X, and XI, with funding under the 2024 General Appropriations Act.

The workshop focused on complying with EO 75 provisions for its effective implementation, highlighting the continuous monitoring of funding disbursements and progress, along with the tracking of lands under regular land acquisition and distribution (LAD).

An orientation on the implementation of EO 75 and Administrative Order No. 2, Series of 2023 is also scheduled for May and June to disseminate the guidelines and streamline its implementation nationwide.

"Under EO 75, government-owned lands (GOLs) that were classified as alienable and disposable land will be covered by the DAR under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program and will be distributed to agrarian reform beneficiaries, including farmers, agricultural graduates, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), retired military personnel, and rebel returnees," BLAD Director Jamil P. Amatonding said, underscoring the commitment to the President's push for improved agriculture toward food security for the country.

The DAR will continue efforts to expedite the completion of land distribution and provide the requisite support services that will help ARBS optimize land productivity and better livelihood opportunities for their families.
