DoLE, ILO, Luzon stakeholders hold pre-summit consultation

THE Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE), together with the International Labor Organization (ILO), organized a pre-summit consultation with stakeholders from the government and private sector, policymakers and representatives of key employment-generating sectors in Luzon.

The Luzon consultation was the last leg of the series of regional pre-summit consultations in preparation for the 2024 National Employment Summit on June 26 and 27.

In her message, DoLE Undersecretary Carmela Torres mentioned that the pre-summit consultations held in different regions aim to «translate national employment strategies into actionable regional plans and targets.»

«Within our initiatives is providing job opportunities for Filipinos and addressing the challenges in the labor market such as quality of jobs, skills mismatch and underemployment among others,» she mentioned.
