FDA delists Covid drugs from VAT-exemption
THE Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said on Friday that medicines and medical devices prescribed and directly used for Covid-19 treatment were now removed from the list of health products exempted from value-added tax (VAT).
The FDA's Advisory 2024-0498 issued on Friday said VAT-exemption for these products was only valid until Dec. 31, 2023.
