MANILA, Philippines – National University dominated in the third week of the UAAP Season 86 volleyball tournaments — with both of their men’s and women’s teams sweeping their pair of games in that span — with Bella Belen and Jade Disquitado leading the way.
Bella Belen has been a steady force for the NU Lady Bulldogs when it comes to floor defense this UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament. Through six games, Belen, the Season 84 Rookie of the Year and Most Valuable Player, averaged 14.5 excellent digs and 10.6 receptions on top of 14.2 points. Belen tallied 10 digs and five receptions in NU's 25-13, 25-19, 25-16 win over the UE Lady Warriors at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday, March 10. Her best defensive game was on March 6 when she had 19-of-31 digs and 11-of-20 receptions in NU's 25-17, 13-25, 25-17, 25-20 win over FEU. VIDEO BY NIEL VICTOR MASOY
