'First premium cola in the market': Royal Crown Cola now in the Philippines

MANILA, Philippines — ARC Refreshments Corporation has brought the century-old Royal Crown Cola to the Philippines.

“The brand started internationally, so we just brought it here since there's no premium cola yet in the market. Yes, we can say that this is the first premium cola here in the Philippines,” ARC Refreshments Corporation associate brand manager Reneada Young told Philstar.com.

Mixed by American pharmacist, businessman and inventor Claud Adkins Hatcher in 1905, the premium cola has made its way to the country for Filipinos to enjoy.

“Royal Crown, it's our premium cola. So it's a classic and timeless drink. So it's really different from RC Cola. Because RC Cola is more of the mass market. Well, this one is premium,” Young said.

“In terms of the taste, the branding itself, it's really different,” she added.

Featuring subtle hints of chocolate, coffee and cream, the Royal Crown Classic offers a rich and unique taste and a truly distinct premium flavor.

For those who want a sweet treat minus the guilt, the Royal Crown No Sugar is a lighter version of the same classic flavor that comes with zero calories.

When asked what differentiates Royal Crown Cola from other brands in the market, Young said, “Definitely in terms of taste, it's different. Mafi-feel niyo 'yung talagang pagka-premium ng cola.”

“So it's already available in groceries, supermarkets, as well as convenience stores. Actually, I think in terms of competition, it is very competitive in terms of pricing, and it’s premium,” she added.
