Genshin Impact announces first Asia TCG Invitational

MANILA, Philippines – HoYoverse’ popular game title, Genshin Impact, has announced the first Genius Invokation TCG (trading card game) Asia Invitational, which will take place from January 11-21 with a prize pool of $69,900 (approximately P3.9 million).

Sixteen players — four from China’s Dynamic Cup and 12 s from the different Prince Cup regional tournaments across Asia — will be heading to Shanghai, China to take part in two competition stages: the group stage phase from January 11-14 and the elimination stage from January 19-21. Players will compete in TCG matches that will adopt a double-elimination format.

During Genshin Impact’s update last December 2022, Teyvat's most popular tabletop card dueling game, Genius Invokation TCG was first introduced as a new gameplay mode that allows players to go against in-game characters as well as each other in a strategy card game that features many elements of Genshin Impact. 

The official international tournament for Genius Invokation TCG was introduced last 2023: the Astra Carnival: The Prince Cup and the community tournament Cat's Tail Gathering.

All matches for the Genius Invokation TCG Asia Invitational will be streamed online across the Astra Carnival’s social media channels.
