Healthier lifestyles, driver-partner social protection take center stage at Grab wellness fair

MANILA, Philippines – Superapp Grab recently organized a Grab Family Wellness Fair for its driver-partners at the Metrotent in Pasig. Geared at educating the community on the importance of adopting a healthier lifestyle, the event featured an array of free health services and engaging knowledge-sharing sessions.

Over 1,000 driver-partners and family members got to avail of free health screenings, medicines and eye exams. They also participated in more workshops and talks on critical health topics such as wellness and healthy diet, preventing non-communicable diseases, cervical cancer awareness and a safety training from Red Cross.

Furthermore, as part of its commitment to safeguarding driver welfare, Grab invited key partners from Social Security System (SSS) and Pag-IBIG Fund to motivate the attendees to register as members of the agencies. Joining government programs empowers driver-partners to secure their future and access the many benefits and services offered by SSS and Pag-IBIG.

“We continue to recognize the hard work and dedication of our driver-partners as they ply busy thoroughfares daily just to ensure a better future for their families. Their aspirations realized and goals met inspire us to relentlessly develop impactful engagement programs that are tailored to enhance diverse aspects of their lifestyle,” said CJ Lacsican, Head of Central Operations for Grab. “In our recent wellness fair, we zeroed in on proper nutrition, effective stress management, preventive care and social protection because we want to help them prioritize their own wellbeing, which is often overlooked due to the demanding nature of their livelihoods on the road,” Lacsican added.

With its long-standing partnership with government-affiliated social protection agencies, Grab also continues to create avenues for driver-partners to acquaint themselves with the available programs and services intended to help them create a stronger safety net for themselves and their families. Among these partners is Pag-IBIG fund.

Alexander Hilario Aguilar, Pag-IBIG Fund Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Member Services, shares, “We at Pag-IBIG Fund do all that we can to ensure that access to our
