Hot weather, clear skies in PH — Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines: Weather will be fair and hot again today, Friday, with clear skies across the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
Pagasa said it has not monitored any tropical cyclone or low pressure area (LPA) inside and outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility at least until weekend, weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
He said the hot weather was caused by the combined effects of the easterlies and ridge of high pressure area (HPA), the opposite of LPA.
The state-run weather agency, in its 5 a.m. advisory, said that Tuguegarao City would experience another hot weather as temperature in the area could reach 38 C while Metro Manila and Davao temperatures could reach 35 C.
Meanwhile, residents in Batangas and Palawan are expected to experience a heat index of 45 C until Saturday and 40 C in the National Capital Region (NCR), it added.
Pagasa reminded the public anew to limit outdoor activities or bring sun protectors like hats and umbrellas, especially from
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and to drink plenty of water.
