Hotelier par excellence

FABIO Berto, general manager of Conrad Hotel Manila and just two years and two months in his post by the Bay, boasts an enviable record of serving in several of the iconic Hilton chain's luxury properties.

To name a few: the Hilton West London Cluster as commercial director from November 2006 to August 2011; the renowned Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Resort — a 370-room urban getaway and Congress Center surrounded by a 6-hectare private Mediterranean park nestled in the hills of Rome, and featuring an award-winning spa and the famous 3-Michelin Stars restaurant La Pergola as commercial director from September 2011 to August 2014; the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund as commercial director from August 2014 to June 2017, moving on to hotel manager from July 2017 to July 2019 before taking on the reins at the popular ski hub Hilton Niseko Village as general manager from August 2019 until his latest assignment on Sept. 1, 2022 as captain of the yacht-shaped Conrad Manila Hotel facing Manila Bay.

From Turin, capital city of the Piedmont region in northern Italy, Signor Berto believes his experiences have allowed his professional journey «to span across competitive locations around the world, in different hotel categories, resorts and city-hotels, and through various market conditions.»
