Isabela Rep. Go facilitates cash-for-work payouts for 3,657 villagers

SAN MARIANO, Isabela – Through the efforts of Rep. Ed Christopher S. Go, a total of 3, 657 beneficiaries from the 2nd District of Isabela received aid from the Tulong Panghanapbuhay Sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program, where they actively participated in meaningful work for the benefit of their communities.

Rep. Go expressed his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for implementing TUPAD for District 2 residents and commended the program’s participants for their contributions and achievements.

The payout was successfully carried out on September 1 at the San Mariano Community Center and Reina Mercedes Community Center, as the funds would improve the circumstances and overcome the difficulties faced by disadvantaged workers.

Among the beneficiaries were folks in San Mariano town (976), Benito Soliven (787), Palanan (334), Reina Mercedes (445), Gamu (445), and Naguillian (670) as sorted by Rep. Go’s office for the 2nd district.

The payout was concentrated in San Mariano in the morning with locals from Benito Soliven and Palanan, then in Reina Mercedes in the afternoon with Gamu and locals from Naguillian. Their pay was set at the minimum wage.

Rep. Go has committed to aiding individuals who require assistance, while DOLE has ensured the continuity of the TUPAD program.

Through the TUPAD initiative, Rep. Go, going by his ‘Go Serbisyo’ mantra, and DOLE Region 2 have worked together to aid thousands of low-income residents.

DOLE conducts the assessment of beneficiaries after the the second congressional district office under Rep. Go completes the profiling of applicants.

In San Mariano, Rep.  Go was joined by Board Members Ed Christian S. Go, Edgar Capuchino, Mayor Roberto Lungan, Vice Mayor Dean Anthony Domalanta, SB Members, and DOLE staff. In Reina Mercedes, the lawmaker was also joined by Mayor Malou Malou R. Saguban and local officials.

The young solon, who was earlier named as House deputy speaker, is on his second term as a congressman.
