Judy Ann Santos praises young stars as 'mahuhusay,' cites Charlie Dizon, Kathryn Bernardo, Nadine Lustre

MANILA, Philippines — Judy Ann Santos believes in the young crop of artistas today and revealed she would like to work with several of them.

The chef-actress shared her thoughts on today's young stars at the sidelines of her recent launch as the newest ambassador of popular milk brand Alaska.

She was earlier asked who among the young stars she wants to work with.

Judy Ann said she would like to work with Kathryn Bernardo, Nadine Lustre and Joshua Garcia. The actress also praised Charlie Dizon, who currently stars in the drama "Pira-pirasong Paraiso."

"Si Charlie Dizon. Narinig ko siya and I saw a trailer of her movie. Malayo mararating niyan," she said.

While she is happy to note how involved these young stars are in their respective projects, Judy Ann has pieces of advice for them.

"At some point, gusto mo ring sabihing, 'Wag masyadong involved. Enjoyin n'yo muna itong, artista kayo.'

She also is hopeful and happy that the local entertainment industry is slowly picking up its pace especially after the pandemic.

"It's slowly coming back and I'm happy that the movie industry is actually thriving. Kumbaga, nagsu-survive na siya. Humihinga na siya uli. Hindi na siya 50-50. So it's something to really look forward to," the actress said.
