Lawmaker receives award

ZAMBALES 2nd District Rep. Doris «Nanay Bing» Maniquiz is this year's recipient of the «Stakeholder Award» given by the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command (NETDC) in San Antonio, Zambales.

The awarding ceremony, which was part of the 85th anniversary of the NETDC, was held on Wednesday, February 21.

The NETDC recognized the lawmaker's «relentless efforts and continuous guidance» in shaping maritime education and skills in the country.

Maniquiz received a plaque of recognition from Rear Admiral Alfonso Torres Jr. of the Philippine Navy, deputy commander Commodore Salvador Lavapie Jr. and Vice Admiral Toribio Adaci Jr., flag officer in command of the Philippine Navy.

Adaci was also the guest speaker during the event, which was also graced by Mayor Edzel Lonzanida of San Antonio.
