MANILA, Philippines — Ito ang unang pagkakataon na maglalaro si dating NBA slam dunk champion Glen Robinson III sa labas ng United States.

Kaya halos araw-araw ay pinag-aaralan ng 30-anyos na American import ang istilo ng PBA para sa kanyang pagkampanya sa Magnolia sa Season 49 Governors’ Cup na didribol sa Agosto 18.

“I wasn’t too familiar with it (PBA) earlier, but I’ve learned this is the second oldest professional basketball league, so that’s a pleasure to be a part of. It’s really cool for me to experience to be a part of the league that is functioning really, really well,” ani Robinson.

“I’m proud of it and be excited to be a part of it playing for one of the most popular teams in the league,” dagdag ng anak ng 11-year NBA veteran na si Glen Robinson.

Sa kanyang pitong taon sa NBA ay naglaro si Ro­binson para sa Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Indiana Pacers, Detroit Pistons, Golden State Warriors at Sacramento Kings.

Hangad ni Robinson, hinirang na NBA Slam Dunk champion noong 2017 habang naglalaro para sa Pacers, na mabigyan ng PBA title ang Hotshots.

“The experience I have in the NBA, that’s what they want me to bring. I’m trying to bring my best e­veryday and uplift everyone around me and my teammates had done a great job b­ringing me to the team,” wika ni Robinson.

Huling nagkampeon ang Magnolia noong 2018 Governors’ Cup.
