Makati to close roads for Thailand-Philippines food fest

MANILA, Philippines — The Makati City government will implement road closures from April 5 to 7 for the Thailand-Philippines Street Food Festival.

According to the city government, Rada street from Gamboa to Dela Rosa streets will be closed from 10 p.m. on April 5 to 10 p.m. on April 7.

Motorists coming from Gamboa street are advised to turn right to Legazpi street going to their destination or turn left on Gil street.

The city government said the event would mark the 75th jubilee celebration of diplomatic ties between Philippines and Thailand.

The city government, along with the Royal Thai embassy, will host the food festival from April 6 to 7 along Rada street in Barangay San Lorenzo.

“Mayor Abby invites all #ProudMakatizens to join the festivities and savor the fusion of flavors, enjoy vibrant cultural performances, and foster warm camaraderie that epitomize the enduring friendship between our nations,” the local government said in a social media post yesterday.
