Marcos declares February 9 special non-working day for Chinese New Year

MANILA, Philippines: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. declared Feb. 9, 2024 a special non-working day throughout the country in celebration of the Chinese New Year, Malacañang announced Friday.

Presidential Communications Secretary Cheloy Garafil said the President, through Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, signed on Thursday, January 18, Proclamation 453 declaring the holiday.
