Marcos names new Agriculture chief
MANILA, Philippines: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has appointed fishing tycoon Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. as his secretary of the Department of Agriculture (DA).
Marcos, who concurrently holds the DA post since assuming office in June last year, made the announcement in a press conference in Malacañang.
Laurel, who owns the Frabelle Group of Companies, was one of Marcos' top donors in the 2022 elections, the business news website said.
