Marcos wants PH students to perform better in PISA
PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has directed the Department of Education (DepEd) to improve the Philippines' performance in the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA).
Education Undersecretaries Michael Poa and Gina Gonong said Marcos gave the order in a briefing in Malacañang, after learning that the Philippines ranked in the bottom 10 among the 81 countries that participated in the study, which assesses student literacy in three domains: reading, mathematics and science.
