Michelle Dee's brother Abraham Lawyer graces magazine cover

MANILA, Philippines — Model Abraham Lawyer, half-brother of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, is easing into local showbiz after appearing on the anniversary issue of a local magazine.

Abraham, who goes by Abe, graced the November-December 2023 issue of Parcinq Magazine, which gave the model the title of "a certified #ParcinqSuperFresh artist."

The write-up by Hans Ethan Carbonilla notes Abe's rise in popularity after publicly supporting Michelle during her Miss Universe 2023 run and his many future aspirations, including entering the local entertainment business.

"I'm very ambitious about my goals and I have a lot of focus on making myself valuable on a global scale," Abe told the magazine. "I wouldn't say I'm at the top of my game. I know I'm still inclining both in success and popularity, so the strategy is of what more I can offer."

In the question and answer portion of the write-up, Abe shared that there has been a positive impact following his viral videos in El Salvador where this year's Miss Universe was held. He is looking forward to what comes next.

Abe also admitted there is still room for improvement in his modeling career and hopes someone will manage him to help him fine-tune it. 

"[Modelling] provides the opportunity to practice magnifying what we look great at, this isn't just a subject of vanity, it's an industry on how we increase our own value to a demanding market," Abe said.

The 20-year-old model is the youngest son of Miss International 1979 Melanie Marquez with estranged American husband and ranch owner Randy "Adam" Lawyer. Michelle is Melanie's daughter with former actor and businessman Frederick "Derek" Dee.

Apart from modeling since he was a teenager, the nearly 6-foot-6 Abe is also a professional tennis player who has competed in local and international tournaments.
