Michelle Dee wins Voice for Change at Miss Universe 2023

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines' Michelle Dee was among the three Gold winners of the Miss Universe 2023 Voice for Change.

Michelle's advocacy was dedicated to autism awareness for individuals on the spectrum, inspired by two of her siblings with autism.

Karla Guilfú from Puerto Rico and Ana Coimbra from Angola were the other two winners. 

Silver finalists with three winners were representatives from Brazil, Chile, Lebanon, Singapore, South Africa, Ukraine and Zimbabwe.

As of this writing, Michelle has progressed to the Top 10 round, marking the Philippines' return to the semifinal round.after her predecessor, Celeste Cortesi, ended a 12-year streak.

The 12-year streak included two coronations, Pia Wurtzbach in 2015 and Catriona Gray in 2018.

This is the first Miss Universe in Central America since it was last held in Panama in 2003, and the first in El Salvador since 1975.
