Muntinlupa scholars get cash aid

MANILA, Philippines — More than 10,700 scholars in Muntinlupa have received their financial assistance from the city government.

The Muntinlupa scholarship division distributed the cash allowances to elementary, junior high and senior high students.

The beneficiaries are composed of 8,532 senior high students both from public and private schools, consisting of 4,223 Grade 11 and 4,309 Grade 12 students.

A total of 1,447 junior high and 723 elementary students from private schools were also given cash allowances.

The city government held the distribution of cash aid at South Park Center in Alabang from Sept. 28 to Oct. 5.

The scholarship program is part of the city government’s agenda to boost the quality of education and make learning inclusive for its citizens.
