New PARCCOM Sector Representatives take oath

Urdaneta City, Pangasinan — Newly elected members of the Provincial Agrarian Reform Coordinating Committee (PARCCOM) Sector Representatives of Pangasinan committed themselves to selfless public service and fruitful leadership as they took their oath on October 20, 2023. Regional Director and concurrent PARPO II Maria Ana B. Francisco, CESO V administered the oath of the eight incumbents.

The PARCCOM Sector Representatives (PSR) are now as follows: representing landowners for principal and minor crops, Diomedes Castillo and Anabel Meneses, respectively; for farmer/farmworker-beneficiary for major and minor crops, Emiliano Aquino and Beatriz Torreno, respectively; for farmers’ organizations, Jams Bangis; for agricultural cooperatives, Bryan De Guzman; for non-government organizations, Miraflor Mavroukhakis; and for cultural communities, Kathryn Santiago.

The new PSRs were elected earlier this 2023. They will serve a term of three years.

Witnessing the ceremony were OIC-Assistant Regional Director and Chief of the Regional Office Legal Division Atty. Glaiza Bernadeth P. Pinto-Tadeo, PARPO II Charlotte F. Lasmarias, CARPO Estelita C. Archita, and PARCCOM Secretariat Florida D. Lafuente.

The PARCCOM is crucial in coordinating and monitoring the provincial implementation of the Department’s programs.

Republic Act No. 6657, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Law of 1998, mandates the creation of a PARCCOM in each province. (za) ###
