Over 70K pass teachers' licensure exam; UST top performing school

MANILA, Philippines: The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 77,777 of the 146, 562 aspiring teachers passed the September 2023 licensure exam in the elementary and secondary levels.

Of the 50,593 examinees who took the Professional Teachers Licensure Exam in the elementary level, 23,782 or 47.01 percent passed while 53,995 of the 95,969 or 56.26 percent of takers in the secondary level made it.

Trilbe Lizann Espina Vasquez from University of the Philippines-Cebu ranked first in the secondary level with a 94.80 percent rating while Dulce Angeline Hernandez Arellano and Chelsea Lipana Tiaga, both from University of Sto. Tomas (UST), topped the list of examinees in the elementary level with a 94.40 percent rating.

UST is also the top performing school for both elementary and secondary levels with passing rates of 100 percent and 98.56 percent respectively.

About 39 and 56 secondary and elementary examinees were tied in their respective top 10 lists.
