Peso rebounds, PSEi drops; inflation data awaited

THE peso regained some ground on Wednesday, but the stock market fell back to the 6,400 level as sentiment cooled.

The currency strengthened by 10 centavos to P55.57 against the dollar while the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) shed 55.16 points, or 0.84 percent, to end the day at 6,498.88.
