Peso, stock market higher at week's end

The currency strengthened by 19-and-a-half centavos to P55.92 against the dollar, while the Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) advanced by 84.24 points, or 1.27 percent, to 6,707.25 — its highest close since March 8, 2023's 6,711.49.The broader All Shares likewise increased, ending the week 0.88 percent, or 30.79 points, higher at 3,516.82.
