Philracom stages expo at Sta. Lucia East

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Racing Commission brings the horseracing industry closer to the public with the holding of the second Philippine Horseracing and Breeding Expo from Nov. 14 to 16 at the Sta. Lucia East Grand Mall in Cainta.

A brainchild of the current Philracom leadership headed by its chairman Reli de Leon, the Philippine Horseracing and Breeding Expo, a first of its kind in local horseracing, was launched in October last year at the San Lazaro Business and Leisure Park in Carmona, Cavite, an event that drew the racing fans.

“The Philippine Horseracing and Breeding Expo intends to bring the industry closer to the general public and the kareristas in order to revive the glory of local horseracing that was temporarily set aside by the recent pandemic. The expo also aims to make horseracing an integral part of the country’s sports tourism efforts,” De Leon said.

The expo will feature booths by local government units such as the Cities of Manadaluyong and Antipolo, industry partners like the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Games and Amusements Board. The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) and Arena Plus will also be having their respective booths along with stakeholders and investors Metro Manila Turf Club and the HAPI Group.

Aside from these, talks from prominent industry figures shall be held for the public’s education. Moreso, business and employment opportunities will be available for those interested. Contests, raffles and highly interesting activities will also be in store for the enjoyment of those who will be present.
