RBH 6 deliberation guidelines ready
SENATE Majority Leader Joel Villanueva said the rules and guidelines for the deliberation of Resolution of Both Houses (RBH) 6 are ready.
Without providing specific details, Villanueva, the committee chairman on rules, said that the document will be presented during the Senate's regular session on April 29.
RBH 6 was still pending in the subcommittee headed by Sen. Juan Edgardo Angara.
Its counterpart measure in the House of Representatives was approved before Congress took a break for the Lenten season.
Meanwhile, the senators were undecided on the outfit to be worn during the deliberation.
Villanueva agreed that senators must don a distinct attire to clarify their roles as lawmakers and constitutional amenders.
Sen. Francis Tolentino suggested wearing togas or robes to add dignity to the proceedings.
AdvertisementHowever, Senate Minority Leader Aquilino Pimentel III said there is no need for special attire as the senators will not be acting as judges. He added that a barong or suit would be acceptable.
