Romualdez, Villarica break ground for NCMH facility

MANILA, Philippines — A mental health facility for women and children has been inaugurated in Mandaluyong City.

The National Center for Mental Health (NCMH) had a groundbreaking ceremony for its new women and children protection unit.

The two-story building will have four consultation rooms for outpatients, a doctor’s office and a playing area for children.

Tingog party-list Rep. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Bulacan 4th District Rep. Linabelle Villarica led the groundbreaking.

Romualdez and Villarica are chairperson and president of the Association of Women Legislators Foundation Inc., respectively.

They were joined by Mandaluyong Vice Mayor Menchie Abalos and former congresswoman Queenie Gonzales.

The event was part of the legislators’ activities for National Women’s Month.

Also present during the event were NCMH director Noel Reyes and other hospital officials.
