RPMO Caraga doubles down on Project SPLIT implementation, Regional Implementation Review commences

The Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling aka as Project SPLIT in Caraga is in full swing as it conducted its 1st day out of 3, of its Regional Implementation Review on the operational and financial status as of April 30, 2024.

Undertaken by the Regional Project Management Office (RPMO) Caraga, as headed by Regional Director Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan, this RIR, will run from May 7 to 9, 2024 at Kawa Resort, Malinao, Surigao del Norte.

This 3-day activity is aimed to comprehensively discuss the issues, concerns, and remaining target balances of Project SPLIT implementation within the region.

As she welcomed the participants, which composed of members from the Provincial PMOs and the rest of the RPMO, RD Capinpuyan stressed by saying that since in the upcoming months where two (2) Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officers (PARPOs) are set to mandatorily retire from government service, “this activity is all the more necessitated for us to be leveled-off as to the statuses of our landholdings in Project SPLIT.”

RD Capinpuyan also went on further to say that the Project SPLIT balances should be resolved in an as efficient a manner as possible. And she instructed that the PPMOs must also look into how the physical accomplishment must ideally coincide with the budget utilization of funds.

Concurring with RD Capinpuyan’s directives, OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Administration and Support Services, Joie L. Ceballos, also addressed everyone by expressing that, “it is timely and helpful we do this activity now.”

PPMO Surigao del Sur started the provincial report presentation with PARPO II Leoncio C. Bautista, Jr., followed by PPMOs Agusan del Norte, Surigao del Norte & PDI, and Agusan del Sur, as reported by PARPOs Glen A. Petilla, Allan Mundala, and Engr. Loida L. Jones, respectively.

Overall, for Day 1’s rounds of presentation, it pictured an optimistic view of the PPMOs’ Q1 and April performance so far which will definitely affect the RPMOs standing and the positive impact felt by the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) as well.
