Sarah Lahbati on relationship with Richard Gutierrez: 'We're okay'

MANILA, Philippines — Sarah Lahbati finally revealed her relationship status with husband Richard Gutierrez after months of rumors and speculations involving their marriage.

Sarah is on the January 2024 cover of Cosmopolitan, where she talks about motherhood, valuing her peace and her love for tennis.

“We’re okay,” said the actress.

"I'm holding up pretty well. I'm happy. Again, I'm grateful. There's nothing more to say than I'm really feeling blessed. And it's a good time to just work on myself,” she added.

Sarah also shared about earning her own money and how she chooses to spend it.

“I think when you work hard for your own money, you don't owe anyone any explanation. You work so hard to do what? To explain yourself? No. If you have a job and you work so hard, then you don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Just do your thing, whatever it is that you want to do,” she said.

She also talked about how her parents instilled in her values that she still carry with her to this day.

“There's nothing I value more than my peace. That's a non-negotiable,” she said.

She described her parents as very kind. Among the lessons she learned from them is giving respect to people.

Sarah also shared a relationship advice from her parents.

“They taught me how to be very understanding and patient. They would text each other because they thought it was unhealthy. I think personally, it is great and I love that they did that for me because now I'm all about protecting my peace. But I also think that it is healthy to have an argument in front of your children because it should be normalized. But as long as it's a stable argument and nobody's going crazy, then that's fine,” she said.
