Security measures in place for Sinulog

Aside from wearing appropriate clothes, Rafter reminded the public not to bring prohibited items such as knives and lighters, saying these will be confiscated.

She said people with oversized bags would be denied entry into the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño.

Rafter said authorities have not monitored lawless groups or threats in view of the festival.

Rafter said the Central Visayas police has committed to provide augmentation forces.
