Signal No. 1 itinaas sa 12 na lugar buhat ng bagyong 'Aghon' | Pilipino Star Ngayon

MANILA, Philippines — Napanatili ng Tropical Depression Aghon ang lakas nito habang patuloy na kumikilos pakanluran hilagangkanluran, ito habang apetado na ang ilang lugar sa Luzon, Visayas at Mindanao.

Biyernes bandang 11 a.m. nang mamataan ng state weather bureau ang sentro ng bagyo 240 kilometro silaangan ng Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

"AGHON is forecast to move generally west northwestward or northwestward from today until tomorrow while slowly intensifying," wika ng PAGASA ngayong araw.

"On the track forecast, AGHON is forecast to make a close approach or make landfall in the vicinity of Eastern Visayas tomorrow morning as a tropical storm."

Dahil sa bagyo, isinailalim ang mga sumusunod na lugar sa Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal.

Inasaahan ang "minimal to minor impacts" s amga sumusunod na lugar dulot ng malalakas na hangin.

"The highest possible Wind Signal that may be hoisted during the passage of AGHON is Wind Signal No. 2," dagdag pa ng PAGASA.

Narito ang forecast accumulated rainfall sa mga sumusunod na lugar mula ngayon hanggang bukas ng tanghali buhat ng bagyo:

"Forecast rainfall are generally higher in elevated or mountainous areas," patuloy ng PAGASA.

"Under these conditions, flooding and rain-induced landslides are possible especially in areas that are highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards as identified in hazard maps and in localities that experienced considerable amounts of rainfall for the past several days.

Nakikitang dadaan ang bagyo pahilagangkanluran sa ibabaw ng Eastern Visayas at lilitaw sa mga katubugan silangan ng Bicol Region sa Sabado bilang tropical storm.

Dahil sa pakanlurang pag-usog ng tropical depression sa track forecast at forecast probability cone, posibleng mapaaga ang landfall sa Eastern Visayas maliban pa sa direktang pagtawid ng "Aghon" sa Bicol.
