[SPLIT News Alert] PBBM to distribute agricultural lands to 2,857 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Northern Mindanao

TUBOD, Lanao del Norte – President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., together with Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III, is set to distribute a total of 3,009.5 hectares of agricultural lands to 2,857 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) on July 5 at the Mindanao Civic Center in Tubod, Lanao del Norte.

This significant event marks a major step in the government's ongoing efforts to support agrarian reform and promote agricultural productivity in the Northern Mindanao region.

The agricultural lands to be distributed are in the provinces of Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, Misamis Occidental, and Misamis Oriental. This distribution is expected to enhance the livelihood of thousands of ARBs, providing them with the means to cultivate their own land and contribute to the agricultural economy.

In addition to land distribution, the President, through the DAR will also provide support services worth P2.6 million to seven agrarian reform cooperatives. These support services are part of the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity and Support Program (CRFPSP) and include 1 mobile corn sheller, 2 mobile rice mills, 1 banana chip slicer, 2 hauling vehicles, and 1 farm tractor. These resources aim to boost agricultural productivity and help farmers adapt to climate change challenges.

The event underscores the DAR's commitment to agrarian reform and rural development, ensuring that ARBs receive not only land but also the necessary tools and support to succeed. The distribution of agricultural lands and support services is a testament to the government's dedication to empowering farmers and fostering sustainable agricultural practices in Mindanao.
