Teodoro's wife reappointed envoy to Unicef

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. reappointed Monica Louise Prieto-Teodoro, wife of Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr., as special envoy to the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef).

The Presidential Communications Office (PCO) announced the appointment of Prieto-Teodoro and other government officials in a social media post.

A child rights advocate and a former Tarlac representative, Prieto-Teodoro was first appointed to the post in August last year.

She held the same position under the administration of former president Rodrigo Duterte from 2017 to 2018.

Unicef is the world's leading humanitarian agency for children, aimed at protecting the rights of children, especially the vulnerable and disadvantaged.

The PCO also announced the appointment of Giovanni Palec as non-resident ambassador to North Macedonia, in addition to being ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Hellenic Republic, with concurrent jurisdiction over the Republic of Cyprus.

The President also designated Noel Eugene Eusebio Servigon as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to Romania; Honee Fritz Abangan Diel and Galo Macasinag as fire chief superintendent.
