'Unbearable pain': Claudine Barretto mourns death of 'Nay Magda' Jaclyn Jose

MANILA, Philippines — Actress Claudine Barretto paid tribute to her "Nanay Magda" Jaclyn Jose. 

Claudine and Jaclyn worked together in the hit '90s ABS-CBN series "Mula Sa Puso."

In her Instagram account, Claudine said that she’s in “unbearable pain” after learning the news of Jaclyn’s passing. 

“Everything is painful. (You) lived 11 houses down from my house. I will miss u coming up to my room tulog ako tatabihan mo ako. Pag nagising ako sasabihin mo anak na miss ka lang ni Nanay. Andito lang ako, tulog ka pa d ako aalis ng di kita napapatulog,” Claudine wrote.

"'Pag may pinagdadaanan ako tatakbo ako mula bahay ko papunta sa bahay mo. Didiretso ako sa room mo at tatabihan kita. Sabay sabi Nay pwede dito muna ako. Yayakapin mo ako ng mahigpit. Kakantahan at patatahanin,” she added. 

Claudine said that she hasn’t visited Jaclyn yet for three months.

“Ayoko mag isa ka. Nay tulungan mo ako pls. I luv u sobra nay. Ang ilap ng tadhana para sa atin dalawa. Ang sakit sakit nay. Miss na miss kita. Im sorry d kita naramdaman gaya ng dati. Ikaw bilang nanay ko alam mo may mali andito ka kaagad. Mahal na mahal kita Nay,” she said. 

Andi Eigenmann revealed that the veteran actress suffered a heart attack. 

"I announce the untimely passing of my nanay Mary Jane Guck, better known as Jaclyn Jose at the age of 60 on the morning of March 2nd, 2024 due to myocardial infarction or a heart attack," Andi announced in a press conference yesterday.  

"We'd like to thank everyone who has since extended their prayers and condolences to us as our family is trying to come to terms with this unfortunate incident," she added.
