VP Sara lauds Zambo Sur’s governance priorities

PAGADIAN CITY -- Vice President Sara Duterte on Sunday lauded the local officials of Zamboanga del Sur for their vision in governance that prioritizes people’s welfare, protection of the environment, and security.

Duterte was the guest of honor at the culmination of the province’s 71st Charter Anniversary celebration — with a theme HEARTS beat faster in Zamboanga del Sur. HEARTS stands for Health, Education and Environment, Agriculture, Roads and Bridges, Tourism, and Security.

She said the governance vision is aligned with the 8-Point Agenda of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

“And you could never go wrong with your priorities because these are the primary needs of the people of your province,” she said.

Duterte, also the Education Secretary, said the province's priorities had similarities with Davao City’s Byaheng Du30 when she was still its Mayor until 2022.

Byaheng Du30 was a roadmap of programs centered on 30 priority areas.

Senator Imee Marcos joined the Vice President in the event.

The two officials also joined the Department of Social Welfare and Development in the ceremonial distribution of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS). OVP Media
