3 lotto pot prizes to reach over P100 million

MANILA, Philippines — Jackpot prizes in three lotto games of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) are expected to reach over P100 million each when regular draws and ticket sales resume tomorrow.

Mel Robles, PCSO general manager and vice chairman of the board, said the 6/42 Regular Lotto that would be drawn tomorrow would carry a jackpot prize of at least P100 million.

The 6/55 Grand Lotto and 6/45 Mega Lotto, which will be both drawn on Wednesday, will have an estimated P582 million and P100 million jackpots, respectively.

The PCSO ramped up its Handog Pakabog Christmas lotto promo campaign starting on Dec. 30, with a top-up in the jackpots of the 6/49 Super Lotto with a guaranteed minimum of P500 million as well as in the 6/42 Regular and 6/45 Mega lottos with P100 million each.

Robles said the expansion of the Handog Pakabog holiday lotto promo project was a final push in the PCSO’s effort to boost lotto revenues and increase its charity fund for 2024.

“We have seen the success of our Handog Pakabog, which resulted in PCSO’s record-high lotto sales for a single day with P171 million,” Robles said.

He said the record was posted on Dec. 19,  or four days into the campaign.

Last Friday, the jackpot in the jacked up 6/58 Ultra Lotto was won by a lone bettor in Ligao City, Albay.

The player picked the six-digit winning combination 19-35-25-42-58-05, which had a total jackpot prize of P571.5 million.
