7.2 earthquake shakes Davao Occidental — Phivolcs
MANILA, Philippines: A magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Friday afternoon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the tremor took place around 4: 14 p.m. some 30 kilometers southwest of Sarangani in the province.

He said both damage to property and aftershocks are expected from the latest tremor.
So far, only instrumental intensities have been recorded, according to Bacolcol.
Phivolcs has yet to issue a tsunami warning as of posting time.
