AFP revives old intel unit, denies coup rumors

(UPDATE) ​THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has revived its unit instrumental in the arrest of coup plotters and high-ranking communist party leaders and combatants in the 1980s and '90s, but its chief of staff has denied having received information about destabilization rumors.
