Big ships for Coast Guard pushed

SENATE President Juan Miguel «Migz» Zubiri said the government will be buying big ships for the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to strengthen the protection of Philippine territory in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

«In the security cluster, we added almost P10.2 billion. We are buying three big ships for the Coast Guard, and I talked to the President, and we plan to have it built in the country,» Zubiri said on Wednesday.
