BuCor targets maximum use of penal farms

BuCor Director General Gregorio Catapang said on Monday that he has called on all OPPFs to enter into business ventures with the private sector, citing as an example the Davao Prison and Penal Farm (DPPF), which earns at least P22 million monthly for the lease of its land to the Tagum Agricultural Development Co. Inc. (Tadeco), a company engaged in the production of Cavendish bananas.
